On Thursday morning, just before 9am, the contractions began. Within eleven hours, a squirming and perfect baby opened his eyes on the outside world. We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our son, Caleb Christopher Takano.
Vital stats: 7 lbs, 4 oz, 18.5 inches long. He arrived at 7:38pm on March 11, 2010… I’d also like to point out that his head is 13.5 inches in circumference.
Thirteen. Point. Five. Inches.
Chris and I are parents now. That’s amazing. The whole process of his arrival was incredible and now this new adventure of our life has begun. With tons of support and encouragement from so many people, we feel well equipped to parent this little guy, trusting God for the wisdom of every step. I’ll blog more about the labor at another time, but for now I need to hold my favorite baby in the entire world.
Our hearts are so thankful to all of you who have been praying for a safe delivery and keep sending us your enthusiasm. Thank you!!
Oh my goodness…13.5???????? :0 Ouch. I would love to hear more, not all the details, but a few more details when you’re feeling better.
